A pickup truck driver hit a tree and was killed near Nisswa, Minn., authorities said Tuesday.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff s Office located the crash about 9:25 p.m. Monday near the intersection of County Road 18 and Wedgewood Road in Lake Edward Township.
Emergency responders declared the 29-year-old motorist from Nisswa dead at the scene.
Authorities have yet to address what led to the pickup leaving eastbound County Road 18 before crashing.

A coordinated effort between multiple law enforcement agencies resulted in arrests for felony possession of stolen property and felony possession of controlled substances, Morrison County Sheriff Shawn Larsen announced Wednesday, Jan. 27.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office worked with the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office, Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office and the Aitkin County Sheriff’s Office.
Hilmerson RV, south of Little Falls, reported the theft of camper trailers Jan. 2 and Jan. 4. Surveillance video obtained from the business showed the same suspect vehicle was involved in both thefts.
Brainerd man suffers burns in Wise Road house fire

A rural Brainerd man was flown to a metro hospital early Saturday, Jan. 23, after suffering burns in a fire at his Wise Road mobile home.
Thomas Phillips, 55, was transported by ambulance to Essentia-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd and later flown to Hennepin Healthcare hospital in Minneapolis by air ambulance. The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office reported Phillips, who was outside the home when emergency personnel arrived, suffered burns. It was unknown whether he suffered other injuries as a result of the fire. Hospital officials listed Phillips in satisfactory condition Sunday afternoon.
