The Crow Wing County Sheriff s Office located the crash about 9:25 p.m. Monday near the intersection of County Road 18 and Wedgewood Road in Lake Edward Township. Emergency responders declared the 29-year-old motorist from Nisswa dead at the scene. Authorities have yet to address what led to the pickup leaving eastbound County Road 18 before crashing. Hilmerson RV, south of Little Falls, reported the theft of camper trailers Jan. 2 and Jan. 4. Surveillance video obtained from the business showed the same suspect vehicle was involved in both thefts.

Brainerd man suffers burns in Wise Road house fire Thomas Phillips, 55, was transported by ambulance to Essentia-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd and later flown to Hennepin Healthcare hospital in Minneapolis by air ambulance. 8:30 pm, Jan. 24, 2021 × A rural Brainerd man was flown to a metro hospital early Saturday, Jan. 23, after suffering burns in a fire at his Wise Road mobile home. Thomas Phillips, 55, was transported by ambulance to Essentia-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd and later flown to Hennepin Healthcare hospital in Minneapolis by air ambulance. The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office reported Phillips, who was outside the home when emergency personnel arrived, suffered burns. It was unknown whether he suffered other injuries as a result of the fire. Hospital officials listed Phillips in satisfactory condition Sunday afternoon.
