🠟 Gleb Dudarev Appears on Bowerman Watch List – Kansas Jayhawks

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas track & field’s Gleb Dudarev was named to The Bowerman mid-indoor watch list, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced on Thursday, marking his seventh career appearance on the list. The Bowerman – known as collegiate track & field’s highest honor – is awarded each year by the USTFCCCA to the top male and female collegiate athletes in NCAA track & field. The award was established in 2009, is named after legendary track and field coach, Bill Bowerman. A native of Vitebsk, Belarus, Dudarev enters the 2020-21 season with outdoor eligibility remaining. During the 2019-20 season, Dudarev was placed on the Bowerman watch list in all three 2020 watch lists before the season was cut short due to COVID-19. Dudarev was named an All-American for making it to the NCAA Indoor Championship and also won his third Big 12 Indoor Championship in the men’s weight throw, becoming just the third individual to win three Big 12

Wartburg at No. 2. Loras to No. 4. Central (Iowa) joins the top-5 for the first time this season at No. 5. The Eagles flooded the Descending Order List this past weekend with huge marks. UW-La Crosse now holds 19 national top-10 marks, including national-leading efforts in the triple jump from Jessica Stelzner at 11.66m (38-3¼) and in the weight throw from Skye Digman at 16.96m (55-7¾). The Eagles have multiple top-10 marks in several events: 60 (x3), 400 (x2), 60H (x2), long jump (x2), triple jump (x2) and weight throw (x2). The Orediggers jumped seven spots to the top of the National TFRI thanks to numerous top-10 marks from their outing at the Mines Front Range #2. Three of their top-5 performances come in the distance events: Luke Julian in the mile (No. 1, 3:58.94c/4:10.12A),  Kyle Moran in the 5000 (No. 2, 13:46.54/14:27.16A) and  Dylan Ko in the 5000 (No. 3, 13:53.72c/14:34.69A). Colorado School of Mines now has 13 top-10 marks. Grand Valley State improved one spot from a week ago. Boosting the Lakers were  Isaac Harding and  Tanner Chada with their performances in the 3000: Harding is ranked No. 2 (7:53.77) and Chada is right behind at No. 3 (7:56.09). The Lakers are right behind the Orediggers with a total of 11 top-10 marks.

Minnesota State and No. 3  Central Missouri all held its respective ranking for the second-straight week. No. 4  West Texas A&M and No. 5 Southwest Baptist traded places from one week ago as the only changes taking place in the top-5. It was business as usual for Grand Valley State as the Lakers continued to add to its haul of nationally ranked marks. The Lakers notched seven marks over the weekend that are ranked in the top-5 nationally: Nicole Sreenan improved upon her No. 1 time in the 60 (7.41); Ellianne Kimes in the pole vault (No. 1, 4.16m/13-7 ¾); Klaudia O’Malley in the mile (No. 2, 4:49.03);
