A former British Army soldier was caught on CCTV hurling petrol bombs at his ex girlfriend’s home in a jealous rage after she dumped him.
Ashley Pankewycz, 30, launched a total of three Molotov cocktails at the house in Southampton, Hants, after their short-lived relationship broke down, a court heard.
In the clip - shown to a jury -Pankewycz is seen creeping up to his intended target, lighting beer bottles full of petrol, before flinging them at the house.

Pankewycz was sentenced to six years and nine months after pleading guilty to arson.
The prosecutor added: “Their attention was very much focused on the defendant’s friend.” Kujawski ran into a property and slammed the police dog in a door repeatedly.

He dropped the sword and a member of public kicked it away. The officer used his Taser on the defendant because he was not compliant.” Appearing at Southampton Magistrates’ Court, he was charged with possessing a bladed article in a public place to which he pleaded guilty.
Police received eight emergency calls reporting youths fighting with knives at Guildhall Square. Two people were arrested following the incident on April 29 year and both charged with affray and possession of a bladed article in a public place. James Stevenson-Mackie, aged 18, of James Weld Close, Southampton has pleaded guilty to possession of a bladed article in a public place but not guilty to affray. Meanwhile, a 17-year-old male from Southampton, and who cannot be named for legal reasons, has denied both charges. They will stand trial at Southampton Crown Court and are next due to appear on June 4 this year.
