ATM, credit card skimmers on rise in San Bernardino County, police warn

Authorities are warning that card skimming is on the rise throughout San Bernardino County. Skimmers are devices attached to ATMs, gas pumps and card readers to steal the cardholder’s information. As of last week, deputies have responded to 46 reports of the devices in the county since the beginning of the year, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said in an email.
