ATHENS Greece confirmed 3,197 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, with 14 of these identified at entry points to the country, the National Public Health Organization (EODY) reported on Tuesday.
Greece has confirmed 367,076 infections from the start of the pandemic (daily change: +0.9 pct). In the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 59 infections are related to travel from abroad and 2,617 to other confirmed cases.

ATHENS – Even as cases of COVID-19 are going up and down in Greece in a roller-coaster ride that kept health officials anxious, there are some indications that vaccinations are beating back the pandemic and will see numbers fall.
That is alleviating a crushing burden on the country s National Health System after public hospital Intensive Care Units (ICUs) have been near capacity for months with vaccines still behind schedule.
But the number of hospital admissions of COVID-19 patients in each of the first 10 days of May was below 400, and it fell to 294 on May 11, said data from Greece’s ambulance service, EKAB, and National Public Health Organization (EODY) cite by Kathimerini.

ΑΤΗΕΝS Greece confirmed 1,428 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, with 1 of these identified at entry points to the country, the National Public Health Organization (EODY) said on Sunday.
Since the pandemic began, Greece has confirmed 362,004 infections (daily change: +0.4 pct). In the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 51 infections are related to travel from abroad and 2,309 to other confirmed cases.
There are also 51 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the total of pandemic victims to 11,029. Of these, 95.2 pct had an underlying condition and/or aged 70 or over. Their median age is 78 years.
A total of 728 patients are on ventilators in hospitals. Their median age is 67 years and 83.7 pct have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or over. Another 2,183 have been discharged from ICUs since the pandemic began.

Greece has confirmed 360,577 infections from the start of the pandemic (daily change: +0.7 pct). In the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 52 infections are related to travel from abroad and 2,062 to other confirmed cases.
There are also 68 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the total of pandemic victims to 10,978. Of these, 95.2 pct had an underlying condition and/or were 70 years old.
