The police cordon in Smith Street, Dudley A POLICE investigation is under way after a man was attacked in Dudley. Smith Street remains cordoned off this afternoon (Friday, February 19) following an assault which resulted in a man suffering serious head injuries . Emergency services, including police cars, two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance critical care car, were called to the scene near to Buffery Park at around 10.30am. A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: We were called at 10.35am to reports of an assault in Buffery Road, Dudley. We sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance critical care car to the scene.
