Suspected cocaine dealers to stand trial after denying supplying drug

Winchester Crown Court TWO Winchester men suspected of being concerned in the supply of cocaine will go on trial. Jamie Day, of Old Station Approach, and Kye Page, 21 and of Walpole Road, appeared at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday last week where they pleaded not guilty to the offence. During the hearing the pair admitted to being concerned in the supply of a class B drug between April 1, 2018 and December 14, 2019. Day, 24, denied a charge of possessing a controlled drug of class A with intent. The men will appear at the same court on August 23 when a trial is expected to take place.

Andover Labour council candidate denies child sexual abuse

A FORMER Labour council candidate has denied sexually abusing a child. Adam Buckenham entered not guilty pleas to charges including rape, child sex abuse, taking indecent photographs of a child and voyeurism. In all, he has been charged with 20 offences. The 45-year-old, who now lives on the Isle of Wight, stood in the Andover Downlands ward for Labour in the 2019 Test Valley Borough Council elections. He is also the former chairman of the Picket Twenty Neighbourhood Watch. Buckenham, of York Road, Ventnor, is alleged to have incited the child, who cannot be named for legal reasons, to engage in sexual activity.

Terence Maccabee involved in drugs to support family

Teenager convicted of manslaughter dealt drugs to support his family THE TEENAGER convicted of the manslaughter of Taylor Williams first became involved in drugs to support his family, a court has heard. Terence Maccabee, now 20, was sentenced to 13 years in prison following his involvement in the altercation that led to the death of Taylor Williams in 2019. Now, a court has been told how Maccabee first became involved in drug dealing to earn extra money for his family when he was younger. This resulted in numerous scrapes with the law, including being issued with a suspended prison sentence after he was caught with a 15 inch predator knife at a train station in Exeter.
