HOUSTON A man claims his wheelchair became stuck on tape on the floor of a Houston urgent care clinic which caused him to flip backwards and hit the ground.
Emilio Zamura filed a complaint April 12 in Harris County District Court against Convenient Urgent Care alleging negligence.
Zamura alleges in his complaint that he was at the Convenient Urgent Care in Houston on March 15, 2021. He claims that as he was rolling out of the clinic on a wheelchair and into the lobby, the wheelchair wheels became stuck on a transition strip on the floor and caused him to flip backwards and onto the ground.
HOUSTON A woman is suing the owners of her Houston apartment complex after a ceiling collapse caused her to suffer injuries.
Margie Robbins filed a complaint April 12 in Harris County District Court against Savs LP doing business as Amritta Apartments alleging negligence.
According to her complaint, on Nov. 27, 2020, Robbins was at the Amritta Apartments on West Airport Boulevard in Houston where she resides when the ceiling collapsed and fell. She alleges the ceiling fell on her and caused her to suffer injuries including aggravation of a pre-existing condition. Robbins claims the defendants were negligent in failing to provide a safe property by not properly installing, maintaining and inspecting the unit ceiling.
HOUSTON A worker who was struck and pinned underneath a forklift being operated by a fellow employee is claiming his former employer s negligence.
Mardell Christian filed a complaint April 12 in Harris County District Court against R+L Carriers Inc., R+L Carriers Shared Services LLC and RLR Investments LLC alleging negligence.
According to Christian s complaint, he was working as a warehouse employee for the defendants on Nov. 1, 2019. He claims he was on the ground on his knees attempting to replace a sticker on a piece of freight, when he was struck and became pinned underneath a forklift being operated by a fellow employee. Christian alleges he suffered catastrophic injuries that required extensive and extremely painful surgeries and physical therapy.

Kevin Chavez filed a complaint April 11 in Harris County District Court against J&R Multifamily Management LLC doing business as The Worthington at the Beltway Apartments alleging negligence.
Chavez alleges in his complaint that on March 8, 2021, he was walking through the hallway to his apartment at his apartment complex located on Greens Parkway in Houston. He claims he tripped and fell over piles of wood scattered in the hallway and suffered injuries to his neck, back, leg, knees and other parts of his body in addition to incurring medical treatment expenses.
