The National Guard has said an airport firefighting contract only shields it from responsibility for future PFAS contamination. The County Board doesnt think the contract clearly says that.

With the last piece of financing in place, construction will begin on the East Side former Fleet Services building for an anticipated market opening in 2025.

The board voted 26-3 to approve the lower fine, with eight members absent. The change also had the support of Sheriff Kalvin Barrett.

Wednesday afternoon, 22 of the countys 37 supervisors signed a statement calling SSMs decision "dangerous to members of the community who continue to face threats and intimidation."

On Thursday, five county supervisors voted against an ordinance intended to prevent workplace discrimination based on hairstyle.

"Based on the image observed and city-sanctioned event status of the bike ride, it was determined at this time that neither statutes are applicable," a police spokesperson said.

Wisconsin has nondiscrimination statutes in place for sexual orientation, age, race, disability, and sex, but no provisions against gender identity discrimination.
