Town’s U23s returned to the top of Professional Development League Two South after a 1-0 victory over previous leaders Bristol City at the Robins High Performance Centre this afternoon with Matt Ward scoring the decisive goal.

Gerrard Buabo netted twice and Jack Manly and Ash Boatswain once each as Town’s U18s won 4-1 at Hull City this morning.

The Blues’ U18s are in action away against Hull City on Saturday morning.

Town’s U21s came from behind to beat Swansea 2-1 at Playford Road with on-trial Spurs man Darren McQueen netting two late goals. All three of the game’s goals owed much to goalkeeping errors.

Ipswich Town’s U23s’ eight-game winning run was halted as trialist Tremaine Eastmond’s first-half goal saw Hull City to a 1-0 victory at Portman Road, while forward Armando Dobra made a late return to a Blues shirt as a sub.

Town’s table-topping U18s are in action away against Sheffield Wednesday at their Middlewood Road training ground on Saturday afternoon (KO 12.30pm).

Tristan Nydam, Michael Crowe, Ben Morris and Aaron Drinan will all be involved when Town’s U23s take on Cardiff City at Playford Road this afternoon (KO 1pm).

Town’s table-topping U23s are in action against Hull City at Portman Road on Tuesday afternoon (KO 1pm).

Towns U18s lost 1-0 away against Watford at the UCL Sports Ground this morning.

Jesse Nwabueze scored twice, the second a 93rd-minute free-kick, as Town’s U18s drew 2-2 with Sheffield United at Playford Road.
