Williams is accused of fatally shooting ex-Muncie resident David Keeley on Feb. 4 during a carjacking outside a Tampa convenience store.

An attorney for Chase Winkle asked for "more time to prepare for sentencing, and to prepare Mr. Winkles personal affairs and family."

Judge Tanya Walton Pratt set Krejsas sentencing hearing for June 27.

Joseph Krejsa was accused of filing false reports stemming from arrests that led to battery allegations against fellow Muncie officer Chase Winkle.

After each abuse charge was recounted Monday, Winkle told U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Walton Pratt that the allegations against him were true.

The plea agreement Winkle received details what happened during six arrests between 2018 and 2019. He will be sentenced in March 2023.

Winkle and two other officers were indicted by the FBI in 2020 for a series of arrests in 2018 and 2019.

Jeremy Swygart, 44, more recently of Marion, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, at Miller Avenue and 50th Street in that Grant County city.

Since her arrest, more than 10,000 people have signed an online petition, at Change.org, asking that the Montpelier woman be held without bond.
