The Main Line produced a fine number of outstanding swimmers this past winter. At Conestoga, senior Jake Wang, who was named the Boys Swimmer of the Meet at the PIAA 3A Swimming and Diving Championships for the second year in a row, led the Pioneer boys team to a best-ever second-place finish. Lower Merion, led by senior Alexa Conner, who finished second in two individual events at States, finished ninth in the PIAA 3A girls team competition

Over the years, Villa Maria Academy has featured a solid array of divers who have made their mark in the AACA and the PIAA post-season. So when Hurricane sophomore Sophie Mesiarik set the school diving record in Villa Maria’s 109-59 win against Merion Mercy Academy Saturday, it was a feat to be proud of.
