During his four-year swimming career at Conestoga High School, Jake Wang, the Daily Local News 2023-24 Boys Swimmer of the Year, has established a legacy that’s golden – as in nine gold medals earned at the PIAA 3A state championships.

The senior ended his Conestoga High School swimming career on a high note, being named the PIAA 3A Boys Swimmer of the Meet for the second year in a row, while the Conestoga boys team finished a best-ever second place in the PIAA 3A boys team competition. Wang won the 200 yard IM (PR 1:44.20) and 100 breaststroke (PR 52.36) and was the leadoff swimmer for the Pioneers’ first-place 400 free relay and 200 free relay teams.

Main Line swimmers sparkled at the PIAA Swimming & Diving Championships March 13-16 at Bucknell University, particularly those from Conestoga High School. It’s been another memorable season for both the Conestoga High School boys and girls swimming teams this winter. The Pioneer girls team, the defending PIAA District 1 3A champions, went undefeated in Central League meets then swept to a first place finish in the Central League Meet last weekend, capturing their ninth consecutive Central League title.

The Conestoga High School boys and girls swimming teams, who went through the dual meet season undefeated in the Central League (9-0 overall, 6-0 Central), got off to a great start on the first day of the two-day Central League Meet at Ridley High School Friday.
