Blanton S. Tolbert, a biochemist at Case Western Reserve University, will serve as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) vice president and head of the Institute’s new Center for Science Leadership and Culture.

The Howard Hughes Medical Institute announces the selection of 25 exceptional early career scientists as 2022 Hanna Gray Fellows. The 2023 Hanna H. Gray Fellows Program competition is now open for applications.

While HHMI has promoted diversity through smaller programs for years, its president said the efforts have not been “coherent or systematic.”

February 18, 2021 Edgar Medina The Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) has named Edgar Medina, a postdoc in the Fritz-Laylin Lab, as one of their 2020 Hanna Gray Fellows.
