SHANGHAI, Sep 9 (SMM) - Customs data showed that China’s rare earth exports fell 6.7% YoY to 3,673.6 mt in August, but  rose 5.7% YoY to 33,539.4 mt during January-August.

SHANGHAI, Sep 9 (SMM) - Since the start of this year, Qinghai’s salt lake chemical exports have been expanding steadily.

At the same time, the structure of major exporting countries of Chinese stainless steel has gradually changed since the second half of this year. China’s stainless steel exports did not fall steeply though China's main export destination, Europe, has suffered hefty from energy crisis and inflation. Why is that?

In August 2022, China exported 6.153 million mt of steel, a decrease of 518,000 mt month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 21.8%; the cumulative exports of steel from January to August were 46.225 million mt, down 3.9% on the year.

India is also the world’s biggest rice exporter and its rice exports have touched 21.5 million tonnes in 2021, more than the combined shipments of the world's next four biggest rice exporters - Thailand, Vietnam, Pakistan and the United States.

SHANGHAI, Sep 7 (SMM) – According to China Customs, China imported 7,184.3 mt of rare earth in August, and 76,676.3 mt from January to August, with the cumulative amount down 6.2% YoY.

According to the General Administration of Customs, China imported 96.21 million mt of iron ore and concentrates in August, an increase of 4.96 million mt MoM and a drop of 1.32% YoY. The imports totalled 722.92 million mt from January to August, a year-on-year decrease of 3.1%.

Indonesia exported 8,633.05 mt of refined tin products including tin ingots and solder bars in August, up 15.15% year-on-year.

SHANGHAI, Sep 5 (SMM) - SMM statistics showed that the global iron ore shipments totalled 31.81 million mt in the week ending September 4, an increase of 13.5% week-on-week.
