San Antonio man offering 10k reward for missing service dog

8of8 Money is no object for a local man who is doing everything he can to find his beloved dog. Nearly four months ago (on Nov. 18), Roi Biton let his dogs, Golani and Rona, out to play on a vacant commercial property he was looking to buy near Jones Maltsberger and U.S. Highway 281. While playing, the dogs found a critter and chased it, but Golani ran after it farther than he was supposed to. Golani, whose fifth birthday is today, ended up running across a canal and into the parking lot nearby at Security Service Bank. Biton said he couldn t cross the canal, so he got into his truck and drove to the parking lot. Three minutes later, Biton couldn t find his certified emotionally support Bull Terrier anywhere. He has had Golani since he was an 8-week-old pup.

San Antonio lands in Top 20 again for worst city to live with allergies, report says

The snowstorm is over, but don t forget about the year-long allergy suffering. Dr. Kirk Waibel, an allergist with Aspire Allergy & Sinus, told MySA.com he wasn t surprised to see San Antonio land in the Top 20 of The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America s annual ranking of the most challenging places to live with allergies. The Alamo City came in at No. 14, dropping seven spots from its 2020 rank. It may seem like the drop in ranking is a good thing, but San Antonio s overall score wasn t far from the No. 7 spot – Springfield, MA was at 84.28 while ours was at 81. The report looks at three key factors when ranking – spring and fall pollen scores, over-the-counter medicine use, and availability of allergists. The study, which dates back to 2003, determines the ranking from data available 12 months prior.
