Due to changing conditions, Rocky View County Fire Services has lifted its Fire Advisory for West Rocky View County. Effective as of May 1, there are no fire advisories or bans in the West Division of the County, and permit burning is allowed.

Risks are moderate, but advisory will stand until conditions improve according to Rocky View County Fire Services

Black smoke could be seen coming from a barn in Rocky View County that burned down completely with machinery inside on Tuesday, March 26.

Trucks and farm inside the barn on Range Road 32 just off Grandview Way were burned up in the blaze

According to a spokesperson from Rocky View County's Fire Services, the fully-involved barn fire happened in the area of Range Road 32 just off Grandview Way.

"Expenses are high and insurance takes awhile. Let’s get them a small fund to buffer through this difficult time."

The four occupants of the house were assessed by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for smoke inhalation.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the City of Calgary and surrounding Rocky View County.

Citing improving conditions, Rocky View County Fire Services has lifted its Fire Advisory for west Rocky View County. Effective immediately, there are no fire advisories or bans in the west division of the County, and permit burning is allowed.
