Telangana logs 4,298 new COVID-19 cases; black fungus cases traced
Greater Hyderabad accounted for most number of COVID-19 cases

Hyderabad: Telangana on Saturday reported 4,298 COVID-19 cases taking the tally to over 5.25 lakh while the toll stood at 2,928 with 32 casualties, even as a few black fungus cases were traced, a bulletin said.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of COVID-19 cases with 601, followed by Medchal Malkajgiri (328) and Rangareddy (267), the bulletin said.
Active cases
The State has 53,072 active cases and over 64,000 samples were tested.
The total number of cumulative cases stood at 5,25,007 while with 6,026 being cured, the total recoveries were at 4,69,007.

The state has 54,832 active cases and over 57,000 samples were tested. Cumulatively, over 1.39 crore samples have been tested. The samples tested per million population was over 3.74 lakh, the bulletin said. The case fatality and recovery rates in the state were 0.55 per cent and 88.91 per cent respectively as against 1.1 per cent and 83.4 per cent at the national level.

Telangana reported 4,723 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, taking the tally to 5,11,711, while the death toll rose to 2,834 with 31 more deaths, according to a government bulletin. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 745, followed by Rangareddy (312) and Medchal Malkajgiri (305), the bulletin said.
The state has 59,133 active cases and over 69,000 samples were tested. There is a buzz going around that the Telangana government might extend the lockdown till May 30 and there is a chance of a full lockdown without any relaxation.
