WESTERLO A 42-year-old local man was charged with drunken driving and could face other charges after a head-on collision Sunday that critically injured the driver of an oncoming minivan and sent two passengers and a motorcyclist to the hospital with injuries, State Police said.
Troopers said Andrew R. Gibson of Westerlo was driving north on County Route 401 when he passed another vehicle in a no-passing zone and lost control on a curve, his car sideswiping a motorcycle before colliding with the oncoming car.

ALBANY - A 77-year-old woman is in critical condition after she was pushed to the ground Tuesday morning by another woman during a disagreement in a parking lot, Albany police said.
The 36-year-old suspect from Albany was charged with second-degree assault after the 8:15 a.m. incident that took place on the 200 block of Central Avenue just east of North Lake Avenue, police said.

ALBANY Police said they are investigating a killing in which an 18-year-old woman was shot Monday afternoon.
Police said they responded to Essex Street, just west of Rawson Street, at about 2:50 p.m. for a shooting. The woman was found lying in the street, and was taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police are not releasing the victim s name until they said family can be notified.
