His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, has affirmed Bahrain’s keenness to strengthen cooperation in the youth and sports areas with Serbia in light of the care according to the youth and sports sectors by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the prominent role of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
HH Shaikh Nasser was speaking during a meeting in Belgrade with Serbia’s Youth and Sports Minister Vanja Udovičić .

In a prominent international tribute to Bahrain, more than 24 major organisations around the world – including eight that carry the advisory capacity as observers at the United Nations – have expressed their appreciation for the efforts and initiatives undertaken by the Kingdom to uphold the values and principles of human rights.
In a joint statement issued yesterday, they lauded Bahrain’s endeavour to consecrate these values and principles in the plans and programmes of the government, and its keenness to respect and promote human rights in accordance with a national strategy based on partnership and complementarity.

Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal affirmed that Bahrain has become a prominent example and global model in the fields of human rights, peace, coexistence and tolerance.
In commemoration of today’s International Day of Conscience celebration, the Speaker noted that the noble approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa made the values and principles of cooperation and human solidarity on which the prosperity and progress of nations are built, through multiple royal initiatives, to promote world peace and the advancement of the human conscience.
She praised the government’s efforts headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in upholding human values, strengthening the role of the state of law and institutions, rights and justice, and ensuring the health and safety of all.

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has lauded the steady progress of the youth and sports movement in the Kingdom of Bahrain, citing the landmark achievements attained by Bahraini athletes at various competitions.
This came as HM the King received HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS), HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and SCYS First Deputy Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee President and Chairman of the Coordination, Implementation and Follow-up Committee (Estijaba), HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, at Al Safriya Palace yesterday.

In line with directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to protect fishermen and their livelihoods, Capital Governor Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, today handed out assistance to fishermen, ordered by HM the King to fisherman, out of the royal dedication to ensuring decent living to all citizens.
The Capital Governor conveyed HM King Hamad s greetings to fishermen, highlighting HM the King’s closely follow up on Bahraini fishermen s conditions and suffering, and directives to provide care and support to them and their families. I m honoured to present the assistance of HM the King to you for the significant harms you encountered, including your livelihoods and confiscation of your boats by the Qatari authorities, he said.
