Perry / Perham Focus) Just as it’s getting warm outside, the temperature dropped quickly for those who participated in the 2nd annual Otter Tail County Polar Plunge as local individuals and teams leaped into the icy Otter Tail Lake on Saturday with style. This massively successful charitable event for Special Olympics Minnesota raised more than $50,000, well over the initial goal of $35,000. With over 27 locations all around the state, the Polar Plunge is the biggest fundraiser for Special Olympics Minnesota.

Crash on I-94 Near Fergus Falls Leads to Chase, Arrests

(Fergus Falls, MN) A crash Wedneday morning off I-94, just west of Fergus Falls, leading to a foot chase and multiple arrests. At approximately 8:30am, The Minnesota State Patrol was investigating a one vehicle crash on 94 eastbound near milepost 52, when another vehicle came along and hit the driver of the original crash while she was outside her vehicle, then hit a tow truck, and another vehicle and slid off into the median. The two suspects inside of that car then fled on foot and went east of the highway on some railroad tracks. Troopers were assisted by officers from the Fergus Falls Police Department and the Ottertail County Sheriff’s Office and located the two male suspects a short while later and have been taken into custody.
