The MS by Research programme is designed to train cybersecurity researchers, technology developers, cybersecurity strategists, and top-level cybersecurity policy designers. An option for BT-MT dual degree students is proposed that will enable them to specialise in cybersecurity, the institute informed.
There are 25 seats for the MTech programme 15 students will be admitted through GATE score /industry sponsorship, and 10 students from Defence and other strategic government bodies. The MS by Research in Cybersecurity programme will have 15 seats on offer- 10 students through GATE score /industry sponsorship, and 5 students from Defence and other strategic government bodies. The BT-MT dual programme is only open to the institute students.

IIT Kanpur introduces 3 master’s programs in cybersecurity
With a view to meet the shortfall in trained and skilled cybersecurity personnel in the country, the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur has decided to introduce three new master s programs in cybersecurity in addition to a dedicated centre for the discipline. These programs are designed to address the need of cybersecurity personnel by ensuring training of dedicated and highly skilled manpower, thus furthering and accelerating the nationâs march towards a Digital India, an official statement by the institute said.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), IIT-K would offer the three courses M Tech, MS by Research, and BT-MT Dual Degree in Cybersecurity from August 2021, it said.

GATE 2021: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, which is the organising institute for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, (GATE) 2021, will on Tuesdauy (December 15) conclude the procedure to change choice of examination city (for successfully registered candidates only) in GOAPS portal.
All the candidates who have successfully filled the application form for GATE 2021 can change the exam city on the official website, latest by today. The official link to change the city for GATE exam 2021 is appsgate.iitb.ac.in.
The facility to change the choice of exam city opened on December 14. Last and Final Chance to change Choice of Examination City (for Successfully Registered Candidates only) in GOAPS portal by 15.12.2020 at FREE of Cost, read the official notice.

India s premier Institution, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has introduced three new master’s programs in cybersecurity that will commence from August 2021. This is in addition to a dedicated centre for cybersecurity to address this need and to meet the shortfall in trained and skilled cybersecurity personnel in the country.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) will offer the three new master’s programs - M Tech, MS by Research and BT-MT Dual Degree with a limited number of seats. IIT Kanpur plans to gradually scale this up in size and scope.

GATE 2021: Window to change exam centre city closes today. Check details
GATE 2021: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay will close the correction window to change the choice of exam city for the Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) 2021 registration today (December 15). Candidates who have registered for the GATE 2021 examination can edit their application form and choose the examination city through the official website  gate.iitb.ac.in.
IIT-Bombay will conduct the GATE 2021 exam on February 5,6, 7,12,13 and 14, at various centres spread across the country. The examination will be held in two shifts.The results for which is scheduled to be announced on March 22, 2021.
