Kevin Magnussen is one of three ex-F1 drivers to be confirmed by Peugeot for their World Endurance Championship comeback.
The French manufacturer will mark their return to the World Endurance Championship in 2022, with Magnussen one of the six drivers set to be deployed across the two Peugeot LMH hybrid prototypes in the WEC season.
Magnussen, who departed Formula 1 at the end of 2020 once his Haas deal came to an end, has now taken his first steps into the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with Chip Ganassi Racing.
Magnussen made his debut at the Rolex 24 at Daytona, but disaster struck with just seven minutes left as he was forced to pit due to a puncture while running P2, ending all hopes he had of making a winning debut.

New Formula 1 boss Stefano Domenicali has joined the chorus of calls for Formula 1 to return to South Africa more precisely Kyalami.
Speaking in broad terms on his ideas on shaking the sport up in his new role as F1 CEO, the former Ferrari team boss and more recently Lamborghini CEO admitted that an African race is high on the agenda.
“There are countries that have shown interest in Formula 1; one of them being South Africa,” Domenicali confirmed. “This is something very important having new places and old places that have a great heritage in Formula 1. We need to decide what is the right balance for the number of races, to see what areas we need for strategic interests, for team interests, for broadcaster interests, for media interests and decide what will be the right way to go.”
The Taycan 4S sported a specially-designed Salzburg tribute livery the Taycan Turbo S was inspired by the 1984 Porsche 956 Palmer drove to victory during the World Endurance Championship at Brands Hatch. Mirroring the 1000 km of Brands Hatch endurance race in 1970, the records were set during intermittent rain showers, but the Taycan proved to be more than capable during the challenging conditions.
In ideal conditions, the Taycan s 93.4 kWh battery can be charged from five to 80 percent in 22.5 minutes, which was crucial for the record attempt. The car s thermal management effectively cooled and heated the high-voltage components and optimized the temperature for charging. In total, the Taycan 4S spent a total of three hours and three seconds entering or exiting the charging area and charging, which was completed over six stops. Each stop lasted around 30 minutes, enabling the cars to charge from around five to 85 percent.
