(ABC 6 News) - The Olmsted County Sheriff s Office said a vehicle was taken from a bar s parking lot in Rochester Thursday night.
The sheriff s office said a man parked his vehicle in the parking lot at Shar s Country Palace and Bar around 6 p.m.. He told deputies he was only going in to have one drink so he left the vehicle running with the keys in it.
Investigators said when the man went to leave three hours later the vehicle was gone.
No suspects have been identified.

OLMSTED COUNTY, Minn. - A vehicle went missing from a bar in Olmsted County on Thursday night when a man left the car running while he stopped in for what he claimed was one beer.
The man left the vehicle running but was in the bar for three hours.
The Olmsted County Sheriff s Office said the man, 62, stopped at Shar s Country Palace in Marion Township at 6 p.m.

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man is expected to be charged with ripping off the state’s unemployment program - while he was sitting in jail.
The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says a detention center deputy was checking inmate phone records earlier this week and discovered one that was made by 36-year-old Samuel Steward.

A spokesman says Steward had contacted a friend who agreed to help carry out the scam. The friend logged into Steward’s unemployment benefits account and applied for assistance totaling just over $1,000.

A Rochester man has been charged with two felonies after he was reportedly heard on recorded jail calls making plans to continue to collect unemployment while incarcerated.
An investigator with the Olmsted County Sheriff s Office was reviewing inmate phone calls for an unrelated investigation when he came across calls made by an inmate, identified as Samuel Steward, directing a friend to log into his unemployment account and continue to collect benefits on his behalf while he was incarcerated, according to Sgt. James Schueller.
