Owatonna Man Facing Federal Firearm Charge

Owatonna, MN (KROC-AM News) - Federal prosecutors say an Owatonna man was arrested last Friday on a charge of possession of an unregistered firearm as a result of an investigation into illegal gun deals.
A news release says the investigation against 22-year-old Dayton Sauke began in late July after the Olmsted County Sheriff s Office received information that he was selling narcotics and manufacturing in dealing firearms without a license. The charges say investigators began monitoring Sauke s Snapchat account and reported he made numerous posts described as consistent with manufacturing in dealing firearms as well as using and dealing drugs. The charges against the Owatonna man also say he posted pictures of a short-barreled shotgun and made several threatening posts about killing law enforcement and politicians.
