As an employee, Deputy Garrison was a top-notch employee, who was loved by all, the Facebook post read. He brought such joy to the community as a K9 Deputy and had a deep passion for his job. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Garrison family during this incredibly difficult time.

Deputies said the Waterford Township man was found at about 9:47 a.m. Wednesday at the D’Antons Coney Island on West Huron Street. The victim’s friend and sister were unable to locate him and searched the area, finding him in a vehicle. Officials said when first responders arrived on the scene, they observed a gunshot wound.

Pontiac toddler found safe in Georgia after mom allegedly stole car

A three-year-old girl whom police said may have been kidnapped by her own mother in Pontiac has been found safe in Georgia and her mother was arrested in Atlanta, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said. The toddler, Queen Jaiyana-Eloise Norton, had been last seen several days ago on the east side of Pontiac. She was in her father’s 2004 Jaguar X-Type when her mother, Shanitra Seay, stole the light-blue Jaguar with the couple s daughter inside, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Police issued an alert for a missing endangered child on Monday night. On Tuesday night, the Oakland County Sheriff s Office said that Shanitra Seay had been arrested by Atlanta police “and will eventually be extradited to Oakland County.”
