Compo David Compo, 60, his wife, Michele, 55, and their son 18-year-old Dawson were headed to Oakland/Southwest Airport when their plane crashed, according to the Home Builders Association of Southeastern Michigan.  Neighbors said they helped the residents escape from a home in the 57000 block of Dakota, which suffered extensive damage from the crash. The plane was protruding from the home and covered with a tarp Saturday evening.

Compo, former president of the Home Builders Association of Southeastern Michigan, his wife Michele and their son Dawson all died in the crash when the plane they were flying crashed into a home Saturday afternoon. “There was a huge cloud of smoke, like really tall flames, said neighbor Chase Southwick. We thought the whole house was going to be gone.”
