OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said 3-year-old girl Queen Norton, who was reported missing from Pontiac, has been found safe.
Deputies said 3-year-old Queen is with relatives in Georgia and her mother, Shanitra Seay, was arrested by the Atlanta Police Department and will be extradited to Oakland County.
No further information was released at this time.
Michigan State Police issued an Endangered Missing Advisory for the child on Monday.
At first, it looked like a chunk of ice. But the sound of impact proved otherwise. It sounded like a gunshot hit my window, said Tracie Moonen, of Clarkston, describing the sound made when a piece of concrete hit her windshield while driving on Interstate 75 with her daughter, Kassidy. I don t know where my eyes were but she said something, I looked briefly at her and the next thing we knew it hit and we were screaming.
On a route she has taken on a daily basis for years, Moonen was struck by a falling piece of concrete off the bridge of Exit 93, where northbound I-75 meets Dixie Highway. Operating on pure shock, Moonen said she was able to calmly navigate to the side of the four-lane highway and call 911.
