More than 30 people were arrested on drug charges following a south Lafourche narcotics investigation, authorities said. Operation Bad BOI was launched late last year and led to the arrests of 33 people over the last two months, the Lafourche Parish Sheriff s Office said. Bad Boi is the street name for heroin, officials said.  Agents obtained eight search warrants for residences, including one on 64th Street in Cut Off which was searched twice in 12 days, the Sheriff s Office said. More than $20,000 was seized as part of the operation. Sheriff Craig Webre said he hopes the operation sends a clear message to other drug offenders.
