2/3/21 Iowa City Police made an arrest during a robbery investigation Tuesday night…but it was the alleged victim who was taken into custody. According to arrest records, 27-year-old Dwayne Eskridge of Kirkwood Avenue reported being robbed just before 7:45 Tuesday night at The Quarters apartments on Highway 6 East.  Eskridge told investigators he was trying to but a gram of marijuana when the suspect stole $2,000 from him. Police told Eskridge to leave the scene while they tried to contact the suspect. Instead, Eskridge allegedly made several threatening statements about handling the situation himself if the police didn’t do anything. Police say he also refused to leave the parking lot, remaining there for over an hour.
