COVID-19 vaccine clinic to open at Santa Maria Fairpark
SANTA MARIA, Calif.- The Santa Barbara County Public Health Department is adding a community vaccination clinic in Santa Maria. It will open at the Santa Maria Fairpark on Sunday.
The county is no longer providing vaccines though mass vaccination sites in Santa Barbara and Lompoc. But it does have mobile clinics throughout the county. Other vaccination locations including hospitals, pharmacies, and community providers will also continue vaccination efforts.
The Food and Drug Administration has authorized emergency use of the Pfizer vaccine for children ages 12-15 years old. Vaccination opportunities will be offered in all areas of Santa Barbara County to accommodate for this expansion of eligibility. The County Public Health Department will partner with local schools to provide vaccination clinics on school campuses, beginning with sites located in North County as early as next week, according to the county.

MAYFIELD The Fulton County Health Department is alerting residents of a potential COVID-19 exposure at the United Methodist Church Garage Sale, 20 N. Main St, on the following date:
Saturday, May 1, between 9 to 11 a.m.
The quarantine end date is May 11.
If you have been affected by the exposure monitor yourself for symptoms up to 10 days after the time of exposure.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or a runny nose, nausea, vomiting, and/or diarrhea.
If symptoms occur, contact your primary care provider for further guidance on testing. If you are a high-risk individual, contact your doctor even if symptoms are mild. Testing sites can also be located by going to https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/find-test-site-near-you

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. - Beginning May 4, the County of San Luis Obispo Public Libraries will offer Grab & Go service at six locations.
Grab & Go service allows visitors to enter the building for browsing, holds pickup, and to use the Library s computers.
Per State and County health guidelines, face coverings will be required, and patrons will be asked to limit visits to 30 minutes.
The library reduced its services and closed some branches in January as most of its staff were deployed as Disaster Service Workers to support the County Public Health Department s COVID-19 testing sites, call centers, and contact tracing teams.

The County of Santa Barbara continues to provide mobile vaccine clinics and now some clinics are taking walk-ins.
Health officials say they are increasing walk-in opportunities at vaccination sites for multiple reasons, including a decrease in registrations and no-shows across the county. So anyone can stop by. And if they are walking distance, you know, we just try to bring these supporting services to our community,â said Patricia Limon, Resident Services Specialist at The Housing Authority of Santa Barbara.
