The following information comes from incident reports provided by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office. All those arrested are presumed innocent until possibly found guilty in court.
The sheriff’s office recently processed these reports:
• Deputies arrested a 33-year-old Blanchester woman for alleged aggravated drug possession and obstructing official business at 6:21 a.m. on June 3. According to the report, deputies responded to the 100 block of South Broadway Street in Midland on the report of a male and female subject involved in an altercation. Upon arrival, the female was located. She provided a false name and possible narcotics were located, the report states.

Clinton County Sheriff Ralph D. Fizer, Jr. and his staff presented the 2021 Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) Scholarships to Abigail Schneider from the Clinton-Massie School District and Gracie Boggs from the East Clinton School District on May 18.
Each year the Sheriff’s Office presents a $1,000 D.A.R.E. scholarship to one student from each school district that participates in the D.A.R.E. program that is sponsored by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office. The money for these scholarships is generated from the arrest and conviction of local drug dealers.

The sheriff’s office recently processed these reports:
• At 12:42 a.m. on May 25, deputies conducted a traffic stop around Bailey and Gano Road in Liberty Township on a vehicle for not using a turn signal. According to the report, a loaded handgun and narcotics were located in the vehicle. Deputies seized two bags of a crystal-like substance and a black camera bag.
• At 3:57 a.m. on May 25, deputies responded to a business on Gillam Road in Liberty Township in reference to a vehicle being damaged. According to the report, a white 1997 Ford Ranger had $1,500 worth of damage done to it. The report indicates an acquaintance of the victim a Clarksville male was the suspect.
BREAKING: CCSO identifies man whose body was found on courthouse steps

WILMINGTON The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office continues the investigation after a body was found Tuesday morning outside of the main entrance to the Clinton County Courthouse.
At approximately 6:47 a.m. the sheriff’s office received a 911 call in reference to a male subject who appeared to be deceased lying on the front steps of the Clinton County Courthouse, according to Col. Brian Prickett of the sheriff’s office.
Units from the sheriff’s office and the Wilmington Police Department responded to the scene along with Wilmington EMS units.
