The accident, involving two cars, was caused by wrongful overtaking and speed violation at the Wailo village of Darazo local government area on Thursday, Abdullahi Yusuf, a commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, told reporters in Bauchi city, capital of the northern state. The four people died immediately at the scene of the crash, Yusuf said, adding the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Daily Post Nigeria Published The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Friday said four persons were killed and four others sustained injuries in an accident that occurred in Wailo village, Darazo Local Government Area of Bauchi State on Thursday. Mr Yusuf Abdullahi, the Sector Commander of FRSC in Bauchi, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday that the accident, which happened around 2:45 p.m., was caused by speed violation and wrongful overtaking. According to him, all the persons involved in the accident are male adults. “The four people died immediately at the scene of the crash and their bodies were deposited at the Darazo General Hospital Mortuary,” he said.

Share An unnamed truck driver has killed an official of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) while on duty in Kano. It was reported that the incident occurred on the Hotoro Ring-Ring-Road expressway when the FRSC official attempted to inspect the truck. According to an eyewitness at the scene of the incident: “FRSC officials were making an attempt to stop the truck driver. When the driver stopped, one of the FRSC officials held the side mirror of the truck, and then one of the truck boys pushed him down and they drove away.” A source in FRSC who confirmed the incident noted that the official charged the runaway driver with the civil offence before the driver fled.
