A man was arrested at a checkpoint in Sligo yesterday after failing a roadside drug test.
The Garda Roads Policing Unit carried out the checkpoint at Cornageeha.
A vehicle was stopped and the driver had no proof of tax or insurance.
The driver failed a roadside drug test.
He was arrested and further tests were carried out at the Garda Station
The vehicle was seized and impounded, under section 41 of the Road Traffic Act.
Gardaí are advising the public to make sure you have all the relevant documents in order before you take to the public roads.

The fraudster uses various investment schemes such as in rare metals, overseas property, and alternative energy schemes such as carbon credits and forestry. Promises are made of fast, enormous returns, once in a lifetime opportunities and can be seen to be endorsed by reputable business people or celebrities but this is without their knowledge
