Eastleigh man launched nasty domestic attacks against woman

The 26-year-old of Derby Road, Eastleigh was charged with two counts of assault and one of criminal damage. Appearing before Southampton Magistrates’ Court, he was found guilty of the offences which happened in September and October last year. He was jailed for 12 weeks, suspended for 24 months. He must complete ten rehabilitation activity days and 19 days on an accredited programme. Southampton man charged following Broad Green robbery

By Tom Orde Crime and court reporter Southampton man due in court accused of robbery and drugs offences A SOUTHAMPTON man has been charged with robbery and drug dealing offences. An 18-year-old man was robbed in Broad Green, Southampton when two men snatched items from his car boot. They stole four pairs of shoes and a bag with one of the men reportedly flashing a knife which was tucked into the waistband of his trousers as he walked off. The incident happened at around 5.30pm on Saturday, April 17. On Wednesday, May 19, police raided an address in Dean Road, Southampton. Officers found a quantity of cannabis and items associated with drug dealing.

Southampton man targeted West Lake Cafe during covid lockdown

By Tom Orde Crime and court reporter Burglar Daniel Stephen Weller broke into West Lake Cafe in Spring Road. Appearing before Southampton Magistrates Court he was charged with entering a building as a trespasser with intent to steal. The 42-year-old of Old Redbridge Road pleaded guilty to the offence which happened between February 14 and February 16 this year. He was jailed for six months because the burglary was specifically targetting a commercial premises during the coronavirus lockdown, according to court documents.
