Sacramento murder suspect arrested in Clackamas County February 06 2021
Inez Kakar Savala was extradited to Sacramento, California, after being arrested for the murder of her boyfriend, Jeremiah Zabala.
The suspect in a Sacramento murder case has been extradited back to California after she was arrested by local deputies in Clackamas, police say.
Inez Kakar Savala, 20, is accused of committing the homicide of her now-deceased boyfriend, Jeremiah Zabala, 23, who was shot in a park just after midnight on Nov. 1 and later died in a hospital, per media accounts.
The Clackamas County Sheriff s Office says Kakar Savala was known to have fled to Oregon, spurring the Clackamas County Inter-Agency Task Force to surveil several suspect locations and to conduct interviews. A few days later, she was taken into custody without incident on Nov. 22, per a news release dated Feb. 5.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. A man surrendered peacefully to police after a standoff in Fair Oaks Thursday evening.
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff s Office, deputies were called to a home along the 5600 block of Ritz Way for a family disturbance. When they arrived, the woman who called said her brother had been acting erratically.
Law enforcement advised the woman and another family member to leave the home, leaving the man alone inside the house. While talking to the man s sister, deputies believed they heard what sounded like a gunshot from inside the home.

ROSEVILLE, Calif. Friends, colleagues, loved ones, and family all joined together Wednesday to honor the life and service of fallen Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputy Adam Gibson.
Gibson, 31, was killed in the line of duty on Jan. 18, 2021, after a chase that led to a shootout near Cal Expo. Gibson was a six-year veteran of the sheriff s office and leaves behind a wife and 9-month-old child.

Jan. 28 Authorities used to DNA samples to identify the skeletal remains of a missing man who was found early last month by a county crew cleaning out a storm drain in south Sacramento.
The remains of Jack Larson, 60, were found in the storm drain along the 5300 block of Gordon Drive near Stockton Boulevard, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office, which listed Larson’s initial classification of his death as “undetermined.”
Employees from the Sacramento County Department of Water Resources were clearing the storm drain on Dec. 8, when they found a shoe while unclogging their vacuum machine. The workers thought it was “a stick out of the muck that clogged the machine, ” according to a county news release.
