Two killed, two injured in road accidents

Two people were killed while two others were injured in separate road accidents on Wednesday. According to police, a man died and two others were injured in a road accident on Northern Bypass. Reacting on information, rescuers transported the casualties to the Civil Hospital, Karachi where the deceased was identified as 25-year-old Qudratullah while the injured as
17-year-old Usman and Abrar, 20. Police said the victims were friends of each other and the accident took place when a speedy dumper hit their motorcycle.
Separately, 50-year-old Allah Dita, son of Ashiq, died when a speedy vehicle hit his motorcycle in Korangi’s Crossing. The body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. A case has been registered while an investigation is under way.

Three citizens were shot and injured for offering resistance during robberies on Wednesday.
Two men were reportedly shot and injured by the armed robbers during a robbery near Allahwala Hotel located between Baldia 24 Market and Furniture Market.
The injured, identified as Adil Shehzad, 28, and Ibrahim Aslam, 35, were shifted to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital.
According to SHO Saleem Rind, Adil sustained a bullet wound in the arm and Ibrahim sustained a bullet wound in the abdomen. However, the condition of both the injured was stable, he added.

Restaurant owner booked for Jauhar blast that killed three

A day after an explosion at a restaurant near the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s office that had claimed the lives of a woman and her two minor children as well as injured six other people, the police registered a case against the owner of the eatery.
The case was registered at the Gulistan-e-Jauhar police station against the restaurant owner on the complaint of Muhammad Usman, brother of the deceased woman. Police have registered the case under multiple sections of the Pakistan Penal Code, including 322 (causing death without intention) and 427 (committing mischief causing damage).
