Sunset Beach: Two hit, killed by alleged impaired driver

Two people were struck and killed after a driver ran off the road. North Carolina Highway Patrol responded to a fatal collision on Saturday at approximately 3:08 p.m. on N.C. 904 and Seaside Road near Sunset Beach. Dakota Reiswig, 26, of Ocean Isle Beach, was driving a 1998 Toyota SUV traveling south on N.C. 904 when he ran off the road to the left and allegedly hit two people standing in the driveway of a private home. Reiswig is also accused of hitting a parked 2015 Hyundai SUV that was owned by Robert Winslow, 64, in the driveway of the home before landing in a ditch.
