LAUREL, Miss. (WDAM) - Jones County firefighters sprang into action Saturday after a three-car collision took place in Laurel Saturday morning.
According to Jones County Fire Council public information officer Dana Bumgardner, members of Shady Grove Volunteer Fire Department were working at their station at 10:43 a.m. when they heard a very loud crash.
South of the fire station on State Route 15, a three-vehicle collision happened, and the firefighters immediately responded to the incident.

LAUREL, Miss. (WHLT)-Crews responded to a three-car crash Saturday morning around 10:43 am near the Shady Grove Volunteer Fire Department off Highway 15. Firefighters arrived on the scene where they found the 3 cars involved with a total of 9 people inside, including several children.
Emergency medical crews were also called on the scene to keep the people involved and firefighters safe on the highway.
It’s reported a Chevrolet Silverado pulling a travel trailer was traveling north on the highway, but stopped while waiting on a in front to turn left into a tire shop.
A white Toyota Tacoma, also traveling north, rear ended the travel trailer, which was then rear ended by a Nissan Altima.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- 19-year old Divine Elamon Taylor and 19-year old Divinity Elhasaan Taylor of Macon were arrested Thursday morning and are charged with murder.
Investigators say they are responsible for killing 23-year old Brandon Washington on April 29th at the Circle K on Zebulon Road.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says the U.S. Marshals’ Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Jones County Sheriff’s Office made the arrest.
They are now in the Bibb County jail and are being held without bond.

May 5 An Eastern North Carolina man is accused of dousing a woman with nail polish remover and lighting her on fire during a domestic dispute, officials said.
The woman was in the hospital after the April 26 attack left her with burns, the Jones County Sheriff s Office told multiple news outlets this week.
Officials said Jeromy Wiggins, 31, was with the woman when he covered her with nail polish remover, a liquid that is highly flammable, WITN reported. He then set the woman on fire, officials said Tuesday in a Facebook post.

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) - Deputies in Brunswick County have arrested a man accused of dousing a woman with nail polish remover and setting her on fire during an alleged domestic-related incident in eastern North Carolina last week.
Jail records indicate Jeromy Scott Wiggins, 31, was taken into custody on Sunday on charges including assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
