Misuse of Covid-19 vaccines: DHO Mardan, two others suspended

National May 2, 2021 PESHAWAR: Taking notice of the alleged misuse of Covid-19 vaccine in Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Takht Bhai, the Health Department on Saturday suspended the services of district health officer, Mardan, and two others and ordered an inquiry into the matter. Health Minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra posted on his Twitter handler: “After receiving reports of misuse of Covid vaccine in Takht Bhai, district Mardan, we have taken immediate action. DHO Mardan has been relieved of his post with immediate effect. He will be suspended and an inquiry initiated. Two additional individuals have also been suspended.” Serious irregularities in the process of administering Covid-19 vaccines have been reported in Takht Bhai. Some reports suggested that the actual vaccines were sold in the open market and mere distilled water was used to vaccinate the people, mostly women.

Two killed as car ambushed in Charsadda - Newspaper

CHARSADDA: Two persons were killed and three injured when a car was ambushed in Bochay Pull area of Tangi tehsil here on Friday. The police identified the victims as Noor Muhammad of Utmanzai and his nephew, Sadiq of Prang Ghar. They said the victims, who died on the spot, were going home. The police said the firing also caused injuries to three passersby identified as Samiullah, Azam and Khial Badshah. The bodies and the injured were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Tangi, wherefrom two of the injured were referred to a Peshawar hospital. According to the local people and police, the double murder was the result of a property dispute between rival groups.

Woman delivers child in ambulance Peshawar April 25, 2021 CHITRAL: A woman gave birth to a baby girl in a Rescue 1122 ambulance at Bakrabad on Saturday. The Rescue 1122 officials said the wife of Khan Badshah, a resident of Arandu Gol currently living in Ashiret, was brought to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital after she went through labour pain. Later, when she was being shifted to the DHQ Hospital Chitral, she gave birth to a baby girl at Bakrabad. Female staff of the rescue service handled the case and both the mother and the baby were doing fine.
