CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Due to expected overnight lows in the low to mid 30s, the National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a Frost Advisory for our entire coverage area.
Be sure to cover your plants tonight.
Otherwise, high pressure will be our dominant weather maker for the next little while.
We’re expecting dry weather through the weekend.
Northeast Ohio weather: Slow warming trend, mainly dry the rest of week
Temperature-wise, we’re still lagging behind seasonal averages, in terms of both our high temperatures and low temperatures.
Morrow County under Flood Warning

MOUNT GILEAD The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a Flood Warning for central Morrow County until 12:45 a.m.
At 6:54 p.m., Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
Some locations that will experience flooding include Mount Gilead and Edison.
Low-lying areas of Morrow County Fairgrounds are flooded. A few homes and businesses along South Main Street are threatened.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a flood advisory for parts of northeast Ohio including northern Summit County, southern Cuyahoga County, northern Medina County and central Lorain County.
Doppler radar indicated that between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain has fallen in the area, and additional rainfall of up to .5 inches is expected. Added rain will result in ponding of water on roadways and minor flooding.
High temperatures today will be in the mid-60s before. A slight cool down is expected for Friday with highs in the mid-50s. Temperatures will rebound this weekend, and sunny skies return.
