Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the centenary celebrations of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) on Tuesday via video conferencing. At 11 AM tomorrow, 22nd December, will be speaking at the centenary celebrations of the Aligarh Muslim University, PM Modi wrote on Twitter.
Prime Minister Modi will also release a postal stamp during the event, according to Prime Minister s Office (PMO). Chancellor of the University Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin and Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank will also be present on the occasion.
The Prime Minister will be accompanied by Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. This is the first time PM Modi will participate in a programme of the Aligarh Muslim University.
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Tuesday said that the upcoming Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board exams will not be held until February 2021. He further said that a decision on when to commence the exams will be taken by the government later.
Pokhriyal made the announcement during a live interaction with teachers on the board exams. Prior to this, he had interacted with students regarding entrance exams and online classes. On the modes of exams, Pokhriyal said, Many CBSE schools are in rural areas. Hence, online examinations are not possible.
Board exams in 2021 will be in written mode only and not online, CBSE officials had earlier said. The officials of the board also said that if students were not able to sit for practicals in classes before the exams, alternatives would be explored.

No Board Exams In January-February, May Be Held Later: Education Minister
He, however, added that the board exams would be held later, but did not indicate when.
“The CBSE board exams will be conducted on a reduced syllabus. There will also be 33 per cent internal choice in the exam. Thirty per cent of the total syllabus has been scrapped. While some states have declared as much, others are likely to make an announcement soon,” the minister said in an online interaction.
Unlike classes, the board exams would not be held online since “many schools are in rural areas”, the minister said, adding that exams would not be postponed either. (AGENCY)
