By Tom Moore Mar 10, 2021 (Cleveland) - Joe Tait, the legendary long-time voice of the Cleveland Cavaliers, has died at age 83. Joe died Wednesday after battling kidney disease and liver cancer. Joe Tait began his longtime association with the Cleveland Cavaliers when the team was in its first year of existence in 1970, and called Cavs games until his retirement at the end of the 2010-11 season. The only times that Tait did not call Cavs games, other than illness, was during the 1980-81, 1981-82, and 1982-83 seasons, when there was a change in management of the broadcasts. During that time, he did New Jersey Nets games on the radio, and Chicago Bulls games on TV.

About $2 million was spent on road work and $796,279 on bridge work, which most money come from the state. The engineer s office maintains 350 miles of road with the majority of roads marked to be in good or better condition. Funding was thought to be down because of less people driving and a grace in BMV renewals by the state. COSHOCTON – Despite funding dipping some during the COVID-19 pandemic and some mild policy changes, Coshocton County Engineer Fred Wachtel said it was pretty much business as usual for his department in 2020.

Music professor hits high note with Alliance Symphony Orchestra performance

ALLIANCE  When the first movement of Frédéric Chopin s Concerto No. 1 fills Maira Liliestedt s ears, she feels a sense of heartbreak and hope.   There s a lot of fight (in this piece), so to me it feels like someone fighting to work through really difficult times, Liliestedt said.  The 43-year-old pianist used to play a recording of the piece whenever she felt down. For years, she dreamed of performing it, but she wasn t certain that goal would come to life.  When the pandemic hit, Liliestedt decided to begin learning the piece. This fall, she plans to perform it with the Alliance Symphony Orchestra.
