Coronavirus: 16 more deaths recorded across Hampshire

SIXTEEN deaths have been recorded across Hampshire in the last 24 hours. Figures published by NHS England at 2pm today (January 8) have revealed that a further 16 coronavirus patients have died in 24 hours. This brings the county s overall total up to 1,027 deaths since the start of the pandemic in March. Seven further deaths were recorded at Portsmouth Hospitals Trust in the last 24 hours, bringing the Trust s total up to 473. At Hampshire Hospitals Trust, seven deaths were recorded in 24 hours, bringing the total number up to 260 deaths. One death recorded at University Hospital Southampton, bringing the Trust s total up to 264. Another death was recorded at Southern Health Trust, making the total number of deaths 26.

A father of four, Dr Obaro moved to the UK in 1999 from Nigeria and Waltham Forest Clinical Commissioning Group said he will be “sadly missed”. – Bridget Palmer, nurse Bridget Palmer, a staff nurse at Clitheroe Community Hospital, died on December 29 after contracting coronavirus, a spokesman for East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust (ELHT) said.
