PUTRAJAYA: The Health Ministry has detected 13 new Covid-19 clusters, bringing the total number of active clusters nationwide up to 451.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 11 of the new clusters were infections discovered at workplaces in Selangor (four clusters), Johor (four), Kuala Lumpur (one), Sabah (one) and Terengganu (one).
One of them is the Jalan Cyber Lima cluster in Kulai, Johor which has 101 positive cases linked to it.
“The Covid-19 cases found from this cluster have been uncovered from a targeted screening exercise on a factory in Jalan Cyber 5, Kulai.
“As of Feb 8, a total of 150 individuals have been screened in which 101 of them tested positive, ” said Dr Noor Hisham in a statement on Monday (Feb 8).

“Many professionals are also focused in urban areas particularly the Klang Valley and Penang, ” says Dr Mohanraj.
However, compared to many other countries in the region, he notes that Malaysia has better accessibility to mental health care.
“With the effects of the pandemic, our resources are going to be further stretched particularly with regards to psychologists and counsellors, ” he says.
