Malaysia s administered Covid-19 vaccine doses fall to 406,763 on July 16 from record high Chong Jin Hun © Provided by The Edge KUALA LUMPUR (July 17): Malaysia s daily number of administered Covid-19 vaccine doses fell to 406,763 yesterday (July 16) from the record high of 460,158 on Thursday (July 15), according to the latest updates on Twitter today by the country s Special Committee for Ensuring Access to Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV), citing data from the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF). The CITF said that yesterday s 406,763 vaccine shots comprised 276,905 first doses and 129,858 second doses for recipients. Among states and federal territories yesterday, Selangor reported the highest daily number of Covid-19 vaccine shots for the first dose at 85,865, followed by Kuala Lumpur s 52,512 jabs, according to the CITF.

KUALA LUMPUR, July 16 Malaysia recorded 12,541 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24-hour period. The country has seen case numbers in the five figures for four consecutive days, including yesterday’s record high of 13,215 new infections in one day. In terms of individual states, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that Selangor remained at the top of the list of infections at 5,512, followed by Negri Sembilan at 1,619 and Kuala Lumpur at 1,542.
