Parker County Sheriffâs Criminal Investigation Division arrested a female teacher Friday evening in connection with having an improper relationship between an educator and a student. Â
Parker County Sheriff Russ Authier said the suspect is identified as Misty Lorene Cato, 43, of Springtown. Â
The student reported the abuse began when he was 15 years old and a student in Azle, and continued for several years at various addresses in Parker and Tarrant counties, including a previous residence of Catoâs in Springtown. The victim also reported Cato gave him rides to school on several occasions. Â
Cato, a fifth-grade arithmetic teacher at Springtown Intermediate School, was placed on administrative leave once school officials became aware of the allegations. Â

PARKER COUNTY, Texas A fifth-grade teacher was arrested Friday after she admitted to sexually abusing a student for years, according to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office.
Misty Lorene Cato, 43, faces a second-degree charge of improper relationship between educator and student, Sheriff Russ Authier said in a news release.
Authorities said Cato taught at Springtown Intermediate School and was placed on administrative leave once school officials became aware of the allegations.
Springtown school officials said Cato was contracted as a math teacher and the victim was enrolled in the Azle school district at the time of the abuse.

A female Springtown teacher was arrested late Friday on suspicion of having sexually abused a teenage student for years, the Parker County Sheriff’s Office said Saturday.
Misty Lorene Cato, 43, was booked into the Parker County Jail on a second-degree charge of improper relationship between educator and student, the sheriff’s office said in a news release. Bail was set at $100,000.
