FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – A suspect is in custody in connection to a stabbing in Florence County, according to deputies.
Avery Alexander Moore, 29, is charged with attempted murder.
According to a press release from the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened in the 2600 block of E. Palmetto Street, Lot 8, around 8 p.m. Sunday.
Moore was taken into custody at the scene.
Deputies said the victim was stabbed multiple times in the chest, back and neck.

TIMMONSVILLE, S.C. (WMBF) - Deputies are searching for a person of interest in connection to a homicide investigation in Timmonsville.
The Florence County Sheriff’s Office says it’s asking for the public’s help to locate 25-year-old Semoria Seven McKnight, of Florence. Deputies said McKnight may have valuable information regarding an incident that happened last year on Byrd Street in Timmonsville.
No photo was provided, but officials said McKnight is around 5′9″ and weighs approximately 145 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.

FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) â The Florence County Sheriffâs Office is investigating a shooting that hurt one person.
Authorities responded Tuesday night to the shooting on Fifth Street.
Maj. Mike Nunn with the Florence County Sheriffâs Office said the victim is at the hospital.
No other details were provided on the victimâs condition or if any suspects are in custody.
Nunn said more information may be provided on Wednesday.

FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. Deputies are asking for the public s help to find a missing Florence County man with special needs.
20-year-old David Julius Peterson was last seen at approximately 11:00 p.m. on March 16, 2021 at his Florence home. Peterson stands approximately 5-feet, 10-inches tall and weighs approximately 260 pounds with a muscular build, according to police.
Peterson was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt, blue jeans and camp shoes. According to family members, Peterson suffers from intellectual disabilities and ADHD.
