This is a compilation of reports released by the Pettis County Sheriff s Office: On Thursday, Pettis County Deputies responded to the 24000 block of Dresden Road for a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was found to be occupied by Joshua Wade Bridges of Sedalia. A routine computer check of Bridges revealed he was wanted on an active warrant out of Johnson County for speeding. Bond was $200 cash only, with a court date to be determined. Bridges was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.   On Feb. 19, Pettis County Deputies arrested Karen N. Metz on two Pettis County warrants. The warrants were for failure to appear on original charges of property damage and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license. Metz was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was held on a $200 cash-only bond.

Schutte fatally shot Fizer, 25, after pulling her over in Sedalia, Missouri. Early reports indicated Fizer told the deputy she had a gun and would shoot him, though The lawsuit argues the shooting was an unjustified, an excessive use of force and that Schutte did not follow several standard law enforcement protocols during the stop.

Thursday evening, Officers and the Pettis County Ambulance District responded to the 200 block of South Moniteau in reference a male subject that passed out. The male subject was highly intoxicated. Sergio Marcos, 42, Homeless, was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 12-hour protective custody hold.   Sedalia Police initiated a traffic stop in the area of West Saline Street and Scott Joplin Court for a vehicle failing to maintain its lane Thursday night. Upon identifying the license plate information to Dispatch, it was discovered the plate had been reported stolen out of Gladstone Missouri. Once contact was made with the driver, he was identified and discovered to have an active warrant for Failure to Appear out of Johnson County Kansas on original charges of Theft. A search of the vehicle revealed the driver was also in possession of methamphetam
