A 16-year-old died at a residence in the 700 block of North Grand Avenue in Sedalia on August 4, and three persons are facing felonies in connection with the aftermath.
According to a police report, a Sedalia Police officer responded to Bothwell Regional Health Center in reference to a deceased juvenile who was brought to the emergency room. The officer made contact with Pettis County Coroner Robert “Skip” Smith, who was already on the scene. Smith said the deceased individual- Jacob Howe- was dropped off by three individuals who then left the hospital. It was determined Howe had been deceased for approximately six to 12 hours prior to his arrival at the Emergency Room.

Some Missourians will be receiving their COVID-19 vaccine Saturday in Pettis County.
The Bothwell Regional Health Center and the Pettis County Health Center are hosting the event which is being held at Missouri s state fair grounds.
The event started Thursday as Missouri continues to roll out mass vaccination sites across the state.
Those looking to get vaccinated at the event were required to fill out a pre-registration form in order to be eligible.
The Pettis County group hopes to vaccinate around 2,200 people and will not be accepting any walk-ins.
I - Pulaski
Officials say the vaccination sites will have the capability to provide up to 2,500 doses per day, per team.
Randolph County
In Randolph County, the health department will be hosting a coronavirus vaccine drive-thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Riley Pavilion in Rothwell Park.
This event is open to anyone who falls in Phase 1A or 1B of the Missouri vaccination plan, but you must pre-register at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70A0448A8AF2FA6FE3-covid.
Audrain County
No registration is needed to receive the vaccine, the department requests for people to bring a form of I.D.
